Anyone taken a 1098 minor on the quarter mile?
Want an idea of what times a stock morris minor 1000 would run down a drag strip, anybody had a go, curious to know?
Thanks

0 to 60 in 24.8 seconds suggests underwhelming performance
That's for a 1098, 31.3 seconds for a 948.

According to various 'The Motor' road tests (published together in Motor & Classic cars Morris Minor 1948 - 1983) a standard production 1098cc Minor in good condition should do the 1/4 mile from a standing start in 23 to 24 seconds and achieve a terminal speed of approximately 73 - 75mph

Sorry about the picture quality but when I typed the table in and pressed the "Preview" button below it takes out all the spaces. So I had to print it and photo it and upload as a picture!
