Bench seat for the front of a pick up

Hi guys was just wondering if anybody has ever put a bench seat in the front before? I've got a moggy pick up 71 and I really want to put a bench seat in the front I like the look and feel of a bench seat and aswell me and the Mrs usually take the dog out with us to shows and things so it would be easier taking her does anybody have any experience with this?

The Mrs can sit in the back, the dog has more rights. This is what it used to be like in the deep south in America

Im sure i saw one at the 60th anniversary LCV rally, I think it was from Sweeden. i recall that this has a rounded section cut out for the handbrake. I googled it and found a few pics.

The trick was to get hold of an Allegro rear seat. Might be worth looking on eBay?

You might be interested to know that all Australian pick-ups ('utes' down here) had bench seats.
