age of tyres
someone told me that tyres have a date of manufacture on the wall of a tyre.Is the date shown as normal ie month/year or is it shown in a different format,what do I look for? Thanks

Generally a week then year. For example 3209 means: Week 32 in 2009.

Goes against the grain to ditch an old tyre with plenty of tread left, but the rubber does deteriorate.
