Hi All,
I struggling to decide on carpet colour for my 1000 Series III. The problem is the car colour appears either blue or green depending on the light conditions.
The pictures should give an idea of the car colour (Bermuda Blue) and interior colour (Blue-Grey). Yes, the interior looks plain grey in the picture but does have a subtle blue tinge
I don't like the NC blue ; I do like the feel of the C'Dale Kensington and particularly the sage colour (KSGL) which is paler in reality.
I have included a picture of KSGL against the original BM light blue carpet.
The coachline is a dark blue. My hunch is to go with a nice rich dark blue.
At risk of boring folk to death, if you should have an opinion on the best colour to use for the floor carpets I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Rob

That might suggest that you have some form of colourblindness? However, I think these saloons had carpets to match the paintwork, so I would go for blue rather than green............but, really, unless you are after total originality, I would go for whichever colour you like

Re: Which carpet colour !
Judging by pics your car is Smoke Grey (actually pale blue in appearance). To confuse things, there were two distinctly different shades used over the years. Original interior would be 'Blue-Grey' with either matching or 'Blue' carpets, the latter being a fairly close match to the coach-line colour.
Officially Bermuda Blue was used on Police cars, becoming available on 'civilian' Minors during 1969 but only with black interiors.
As myoldjalopy says, its your car, so unless you're striving for originality, just go with a colour that suits your taste. Hint: darker shades show less grime!!

Funny that, but I was wondering if it was an ex-panda from the colour. Not sure if they got the stainless steel door surrounds and overriders though. In my time in the Met, nothing, but nothing (Commissioner's office aside) was de-luxe. For me, blue complements the seat and trim colours nicely. It looks a nice tidy car from the photos..

I think blue, the green doesn't really work for me although I am a colour blind electrician, honestly!
The other option that can work with any colour would be black?

Thanks everyone.
Don't think I'm due for a trip to 'should have gone to .......' ;-)
I went for a Sapphire blue in the end with sky blue bound to tone with the seats.
I'll also make matching sky blue scuttle panels and parcel tray.
