Not being notified about new posts

Post by KeithL »

Once again I am not receiving notifications of new posts. I'm not even getting notifications that people have posted to topics I created. The last one I received was 09:41 on 30/07/18.

Could someone take a look please. Thanks.

No, I'm here. I've notified our IT provider, who can't be bothered to look into it. I'm refusing to deal with it, because the club pay our IT provider. I have no problem with doing unpaid work for the club, but I'm ****ed if I'm going to do it and watch some other person get paid for my work. I'll let you know when the club have managed to work out how to resolve that dilemma ;)

Probably cold comfort but I've been a registered forum user for just over two years and I've never received any notifications, except on receipt of a private message, or if a post I've made has been quoted in a subsequent post. As far as I'm aware my settings and preferences are all correct (not guaranteed as my technophobia knows no bounds; IT matters are as straightforward to me as are the mysteries of voodoo or medieval witchcraft  ).

I'm with pb on this.
I've only been around here a little over a year and all my settings are standard, which I use quite happily on another phpBB, and yet I never have a notification for anything happening around here....

For example, I've never had an email, despite the setting being that I should if someone replies to a Topic I'm taking an active part in....

Wonders never cease - it would seem that my rattle/pram incident has prompted some action, and I'm told that topics should now receive the notifications again. That said, I didn't get a notification that there'd been new posts in this thread, so I'm not going to hold my breath...

Anybody planning on coming to the Anniversary event this weekend - http://nuffield70.mmoc.org.uk/ ?
Or failing that, to the Open Day in October - http://openday18.mmoc.org.uk/
