Charity car show today in aid of local prostate cancer charities. At the Old Swan Inn, Chaddesley Corbett, Words. Nice village location. Nice pub. Live music. BBQ. About 120 cars; 30 bikes; a couple of HGVs.

I took Max along. Only four other Moggies there...

Thanks to David Milns (He of the nice black late S2 convertible) for these snaps of a classic car meet at the Fleur De Lys in Widdington, Essex, attended by 4 UMMOS - William brought his lovely blue Wolseley Landcrab. Fascinating pre war Amilcar there in beautiful condition. Unfortunately not the same model used in Jacques Tati's masterpiece, 'Les Vacances de M. Hulot.'

Over in Cambridge and spotted this Morris ambulance being used as a campervan.
I guess the roof might leak a bit given the tarpaulin on the top🤔

In the same driveway today... a very clean looking 1965 Almond Green 2-door Minor. Like the Lada a couple of weeks ago, this one also has a 'For Sale' sign in the window.

Irritatingly it's on a busy, narrow road with nowhere to pull in, otherwise I'd investigate more closely.

Also; just down the road outside St John the Baptist church (and a long way from home), an ex-London Transport RML type Routemaster bus in period 1960s livery, on Wedding duty.

A lovely day at North London and Middlesex rally at Capel Manor, Excellent company with minor owners, you just know you are going to gel with. Cars of all conditions , but all sharing one thing. the love of their owners. Just next door is a carcrally with loads of different models from brash americana to three more minors apparently feeling lonely....
UMMO'S fielded three minors, myself Colin and Carol Cantor and Ray Mitchell (tow other 'irregulars' were also present and it was damn good to see them). All three UMMO cars got awards, with Ray Mitchell (Gulliver a G reg Almond Green Traveller) achieving concourse - well deserved and a Branch first, Colin's lovely Clarendon grey early S 2 tourer getting second in that class, again well deserved, and my beloved Neddy, which has served me well for over 40 years getting first in four door saloons.
Prizes aside, the welcome and the organisation from our good friends at NlM was first class. The trip over through the Herts countryside, reminded us all of how lucky we are to be living in this luscious corner of our green and pleasant land. (You can tell I'm home and I have had a beer) and above all the people from far and wide who came to celebrate Morrises.
On that subject the BMC stable and Issiggonis designed cars were out in force from A30/35 to the horde of 1100's. Maxi, Allegro (Much maligned - take note J Clarkson !) and MG's.
NB VERY NICE lowlight MM present !
TRY IT NEXT YEARS, IT IS ONE OF THE BEST SMALL REGIONALS AROUND !

And that's the problem with posting photo's from phones....
I know if I do it from mine, I have to make sure I use it 'Right handed' when doing landscape photos, i.e. with the bottom of the phone to the right. I've not found an answer for portrait images....

I take most of mine on a Samsung phone. I've never mastered holding the phone horizontally and using my thumbs to press the 'buttons' (Homer Simpson syndrome! :D ) so pics always taken as 'portrait' with buttons at the bottom of course. Usually have to resize them for posting on here, so I crop them to appear 'landscape' or as close as possible. I don't know if other brands of phone have the same features but the gallery>edit>transform menu on mine allows me to 'flip vertical' to correct any upside-down images. I can also 'flip horizontal' but this produces a mirror image, and turns RHD cars into LHD.
P.S. Never mastered the art of taking 'portrait' shots with an SLR either. Shutter button HAS to be at the top or I fail miserably!
