alloy water jacket/dynomo bracket

Post by nearsidenellie »

Help required, I have removed the water jacket owing to a leak on my 1953 high light MM and a metal spreader for want of a proper term, fell onto the floor and now I do not know where it came from or where it fits I can find now mention of it in the parts books or manuals I have, Mine is fitted with a water pump, Please advise

Fits in the hole at the front of the engine side face, if you see what I mean, just behind the waterpump corner. Seems a rather useless piece of kit. About 50% of engines seem to have lost theirs over the years.

Thanks for that Rob, it seems to fit the round hole more than the square hole behind the water pump on the side face of the engine block, comments please.
