Trim positioning question
Can someone share an image or explain how the steel trim pictured below should be attached to the interior ? I took the car apart 5 years ago and I forgot. Not sure if it should go snug up against the door seal or if there should be a gap

Re: Trim positioning question
Your car must be a 4door? That piece covers the draught excluder where it is fitted over the rear wheel arch on the 4door models. They are handed, so if they came off the same car, just hold them in position and move them slightly until the screw holes align. They go on BEFORE the upholstered trim does.

Re: Trim positioning question
yes it is a 4 door. There are several holes that dont line up so the previous owner was also unsure apparently LOL. Must the outer edge of the steel trim butt up against the door seal ? Or does the radius portion of the steel trim actually cover a part of the door seal ?

Re: Trim positioning question
Mine covers the trim and I think was designed to stop the cloth trim being worn as people got in and out of the back.
