Sidescreen for Tourer.

Post by RobThomas »

I'm making a batch but need to sort out the hole spacing for the pins that hold the sidescreen to the car. Has anyone got sidescreen where they could photograph the 'pins' and let me know the distance between the 2 holes that hold the pin bracket onto the metal frame? Thanks.

I could probably do with finding some old brackets, too. Paul Beck sells something similar but not quite right.

Rob
Paul Beck retired earlier in the year and Vintage Supplies was sold to new owners now based elsewhere in the UK. Maybe he will now have time to finish the restoration of his S11 Van.

Finished welding the first 2 frames up this morning. Was thinking that the garage was quite pleasantly warm until I realised that I was welding the corners whilst the card template was still under the steel. Small fire!

Thanks.

I'm hoping that Don Hoods might want to do a trade so that I supply some frames next year in return for a couple of covered ones. I have an order list for 3 sets via the MMO facebook page already. I'm sure there must be an easier way of bending the steel but haven't worked it out yet.
