Does anyone got a spare couple of these please for sale? Or even a single one decently chromed. Thanks!

Re: series II door strap chrome bracket
Hi,
Not sure if these are good enough but...................
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Morris-Minor ... SwEFhdyH9M
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Morris-Minor ... SwH51dwGkN
Charles ware do them on 'special order':
https://www.morrisminor.org.uk/parts/10 ... -door-pull
If you go with them, I'd give them a call rather than ordering online.
I also noted they place a surcharge on them, so these must be hard to come by and they seem to do them on an exchange basis for your old ones.
Best wishes,
Mike.

Re: series II door strap chrome bracket
I'm pretty sure the strap is just a folded length of leather that is screwed to the door with a pair of screws, with a pair of cup washers to spread the load, and the chromed steel then hides this. My drivers door strap is quite soft and flexible from use, and the passenger door strap is hard and stiff, like cardboard.
Black 4door series2 deluxe 1954, mostly original, a bit tatty but reliable runner. purchased 1996

Yes, that is correct, although there is some stitching in it - at least, that is the case on my 1955 SII, which has the original straps......

Funnily enough, first thing I thought when I woke up this morning was - 'Hmmm, actually, I don't think there is stitching in it!' I really need to go take a look!

Re: series II door strap chrome bracket
Ok here is the strap:
Removing the escutcheon reveals the two screws and cup washers:
Removing the strap then reveals it is simply a folded piece of leather,as described by 'pde2000', and - no stitching!
The brown patch is where I repaired a split that had started.....Re: series II door strap chrome bracket
why not get them rechromed .
