Hi all , any experience of aftermarket electronic distributors ?
Vast difference in price ,with a wide variety of Units ,but no idea on quality and longevity .

Well my car runs fine on an Acuspark.
Once an electronic unit is set up, it should never change, unlike with points wearing and the gap changing.
The only Ignition problems I've had was the Coil....

agree. Mine has been in the car around 10 years or so and has never caused any reason for me to remove it. I'd never go back to the old points system. Why would you?

Although I'm less than 2 years in, my '62 1098 cc saloon has the Accuspark full kit fitted (distributor, coil, plug leads) and I'm well pleased with it.

Note: Accuspark spark plugs came with the kit but I took advice from other local members and chucked them in the boot to keep as spares!
