Moggy for hire?

Post by Deckie »

Does anybody by any chance know of where a Morris Minor could be hired for a day on a self drive basis? Preferably a pale grey/blue Traveller but any would be great. I may be expecting too much but it’s a Christmas gift idea for the wife who loved her Moggy many years ago. Can be located anywhere, we’re willing to travel of course.
Thanks.

I hired a Traveller (blue as it turned out) for my wife for the weekend when she was thinking of buying one to see if the reality lived up to the romantic dream. It did and we have now had our Traveller for 12+ years.

I used these these guys but from a quick glance at the website they seem to have gone up-market with no immediate sign of a Morris. Might be worth a call though. https://www.greatdrivingdays.co.uk/

This looks more promising. https://www.classiccarhire.co.uk/

This might also be worth a look. You can't hire them for the day but you can drive them. If you can't see a car you want give them a call as they might have one in the workshop. https://drivedadscar.com/ It's linked to the Great British Car Journey - a relatively new museum which is well worth a visit. https://greatbritishcarjourney.com/

Good luck.

Try this https://www.classiccarhire.co.uk/classi ... ris/minor/ as a portal for different hire companies.

Hello Deckie,

Sorry for the late reply. Not been on here in a while.

I've a nice smoke grey Traveller that you'd be welcome to for a couple of days. We'd have to come to an arrangement over insurance and price but I wouldn't be wanting to make money from it really. I'm in Milton Keynes, and this is Alfred, who is my daily driver so it's well maintained...
