Side valve engine: extraction of distributor drive dowel

Post by rsawatson »

Hi,

I am rebuilding my USHM2 engine and am approaching the point where I need to remove the camshaft. In order to do this, the distributor drive dowel needs to be extracted.

Is anyone able to advise the specific bolt/screw I need in order to do this? The manual advises that this is 5mm but I am unsure of the thread pitch.

Many thanks.

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

The distributor drive dowel thread on the USHM2 side-valve engine is M5 x 0.8mm pitch.
