Manual Method - Requires no changes to your web browser.
1) Right click on either the word 'image' or on the broken image green hill/blue sky icon (not always displayed) as shown below:
2) Choose to 'Open image in new tab'.
3) The image will not load until you edit the url to add the word "board." before mmoc, e.g.
http://mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php
https://board.mmoc.org.uk/mbimage.php
4) Then just hit enter/return to load the image.
Automatic Method - Requires installing an add-on/extension to your web browser.
1) Install the required add-on/extension for your browser:
Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... oxreplace/
Google Chrome/Chromium & Microsoft Edge: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detai ... llidfamfgm
Safari: I do not have access to a mac so if you know of an add-on please post in the thread. Alternatively install one of the other browsers to use this method on macOS.
2) Please note that the red outlines denote a left mouse button click area.
2A) Firefox Foxreplace Settings (Please note this will stop your ability to add attachments to a thread, disable the extension until needed or set it to only run manually as opposed to the 'Auto & Manual' mode shown below).
2B) Chrome/Chromium/Edge Regex-Replace Settings:
3) Now every forum thread linking to old images will display them automatically. You can also test this by looking at step 3 in the Manual Method section as the two urls will now display as being identical.
