Lucas 166 Hazard Panel

I saw this recently. It's made by "Lucas Classic" and made in England.

Very expensive compared to other options but to me it looks rather nice.

I asked Holden for a wiring diagram and they sent me instructions. It can be wired for Positive or Negative earth vehicles.

Has anybody fitted one of these?

Blimey that's pricey; but then having seen what they charge for a 'Dummy RB106' I'm not really surprised.
Although they are by no means the most expensive for a place selling them.

Yes it is expensive but unlike so many other parts it is made in England and one would hope of excellent quality. It does look the period part perhaps not so much in a Morris but in an E-type Jag! The crinkle finish is a nice match for the later Minor heater panel as is the toggle switch and warning lamp. I really like it but although Holden sent me fitting instructions there are no diagrams indicating the dimensions so I do not know whether it would fit. There is a reinforcing lip under the dashboard so only limited space for rearward projection of the unit.

I would judge it to be around 3 -3.5" wide, going from the Double pole switch it uses. They're about 3/4" wide body.
The mounting lip is going to be around 3/8"

Having looked it up, I see now that it is a replacement Classic Jag part. They actually sell in the £150 - £165 price bracket

Yes, I fitted a hazard switch from Bettercarlighting.co.uk

It is small and discreet. Much cheaper than the expensive Lucas 166 and perfectly adequate. The photo shows how limited the space is behind the switch in a tourer.

That old cardboard label is an original label by the way. I cannot read what it said but it is attached to an unused purple permanent live wire. I think it may have been for an interior light which is not fitted in a tourer. That wire is not unused any more as it is the perfect feed for the hazard switch.
