great to hear you're joining us in Sussex Dan, and thanks for the offer of help, I may be calling on you for that later in the new project.
I am going to take Don's advice and start a new thread with the new pickup. What do you think I should call it, Ratty revisited, or Ratty reborn as Ani once suggested.

How about:

Miles Minor Makeover

Should get others thinking of something better anyway.

Cheers
Don

Just that Brighton has a bit more Appeal than Aldershot I'm afraid!
I'll try and avoid commenting on that!!

i'd forgotten how bad things were when I started, pritty horrible really, still there's some great lessons on this thread for anyone thinking of starting a restoration, do your homework, shop around and don't drag the first car out of a hedge that you find. There are plenty of far more reasonable subjects out there for sale. (Even if it was a epic story)[frame]Image[/frame]

Its quite a relief to see where I am now compared to last year, I wonder if this thread could be posted over to the restoration thread, could any moderators move it over? There are still images on here I want to look over for double checks, the pickup relic was original after all.[frame]Image[/frame]

This looks great! Are you planning to do a front disk brake conversion?

Not for the time being Mr snack,I'm restoring her to her original spec, if I like her like that I might keep things that way, but if driving is impractical I may consider an upgrade later on.

The front brakes are being assembled in original spec, Mr snak mentioned about front disc brakes, they are always an option for the future.[frame]Image[/frame]
