Paint will adhere to it (in my experience when doing a quick blow over with wings on car), but if you take wing off again, it may (probably will) take some paint with it. If it was me, I'd try and get wing piping to match the body colour if available - what colour are you doing it?
I've been diverted to other things at the moment, so no real progress to report on son's minor. (New heads on V8, Bike bits and bobs, decorating, christmas etc etc).

If you are spraying the car with the wings bolted up and the beading in place you should be ok, but if taken apart again, the paint may be pulled apart in the process. I don't think you could successfully spray the beading separately, then fit it, as it is the flexing process that causes paint to crack. 2k is a bit more flexible than cellulose in this respect. You can always leave the beading in the colour you have, then see what it looks like, or go for black.

What colour is it? You can never tell from the picture by the time they appear on the monitor.

http://freespace.virgin.net/tommy.sandham/welcome.htm

I love the comments on sky TV, Ocean finance and the "is born" series- spot on Tommy!, and look at the pic, he's scowling at us! his complaints about being asked questions on Fords. What do you expect when linked to the Frost web site?? Maybe the pic is to try and detr unwanted e-mails :-)

I would suggest he reminds me of the Victor Meldrew of the classic car world- thats not a negative comment BTW- Moderators- as I like Victor, we need more people like this. I really like this site.

Classic stuff, he also asks why the cortina isn't as popular a classic as the Morris Minor. Great classic car site, go Tommy Sandham!!
