4-Door Van-Pickup Convertible, Series MM?!!

Post by jackkelleher »

There's one for sale on ESM. That's the biggest mess I've ever heard of. An MM convertible with four doors and a removable rear-end, because it's a van/pickup? :o I rather like the look of it actually, but it sounds like someone had a little too much fun with the old welding torch... Reminds me of the four-door convertible for sale on fleabay a few months ago- I wonder if this one sags in the middle too! :)

Aha - it's appeared, must have been a cache problem here. Can't see why it deserves the scorn, tbh. Looks fine to me.

I've seen this in the flesh and it is well made, although I would return it to original P/u or van. as it not really a true convertable

James

P.s wouldn't pay that price either!

I'm not putting any scorn on it... I'm sure it's very well done! It's just a highly unusual idea... :)

I agree...

How many four door convertible lowlights do you see? It might not be to everybody's taste but it's an interesting vehicle in its own right.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

I know the guy who has done this and it has been completed to a high standard, it is exactly what it says a 1955 van chasis, the rear end was beyond redemption and Peter converted it to this.

So what has been done has been done very well but if its originality you want then its not for you
