Hello From Essen / Germany
Hello all,
I think it might be nice to introduce myself.
after being registered in 2008 for getting rid of a laygear 22G83 I couldn’t use in my MG Midget (it is still there if someone might need it) I started to read the message board regularly this year.
My 1972 Midget Mk III is feeling a bit lonely and I agreed with my wife to have a Morris Minor as a special treat for our silver wedding and many happy years to come.
Now we are looking for a really good Traveller. When we got the Midget a few years ago we had to learn the hard way, that the better car is usually the less expensive one on the long run. I don’t mind to spend some time in my garage but got a strong feeling, that it is nicer to spend more time in the car driving than under the car with the spanners.
It is really great fun to drive in RHD classic car here in Germany with all the Volkswagen and Japanese cars around. Scarlet Rotgnom – our little red Midget – has been back to England on several occasions by now and last year I organised a week for some friends of our MG club and we went to Lands End. We love to travel to England and to attend various rallies in our Midget or a Moggy. The bug has spread by now and our son is driving a modern RHD MG.
If someone knows about a Traveller with no patchwork and not too much rust I’d be glad to hear from you.
Kind regards from Essen / Germany
Achim

Try joining MMRD (Morris Minor Register Deutschland). Their forum is nowhere near as good as this one.
