"New Posts" search

Post by simmitc »

In the old site we had a nice simple "View posts since last visit". So far as I can see, we now have "New Posts". Today I made one of my (these days rare) visits and tried "New Posts". I then logged off and later back in again. "New Posts" still gave posts going back to the 14th March, when clearly they should all have been today. Not a great problem, just not right.

I use this feature and it works as before.
Did you log out at the end of the first session?

I've noticed the difference too - but I MUCH prefer the latest version - if I accidentally close the browser or the laptop/PC crashes then I've not lost all the post markers :D

I wish you could still log in just to read PMs without marking all topics read automatically.

I dont have that problem, once I am logged in I just go straight to messages in the user control panel at the top and everything else stays unread as normal.
