Post by Kevin »

An overseas owner needs help in identifying his Traveller and I know a couple of you are up to speed with this subject, the info supplied is
Bulkhead ID M/AW3742150
Chassis 62564
Body 226538
He thinks it might be a 59

Kevin - should it be MA/W3 742150? If so then M=Morris, A=A series engine, W=Traveller, 3=series III. The number 742150 would date it between March (704254) and August 1959. Probably nearer August when at 750470 various modifications took place, improvements to front passenger seats, positioning of clutch pedal & gearbox cover etc.. No letter e.g. D for deluxe or L for LHD after the number indicates a RHD standard model.
Hope this helps.

They're usually on a plate down by the brake pipe in the bottom (nearest the grill end) right hand side of the engine bay floor. Mine hasn't got one. Many are lost during restorations and general maintainance.
