Dear all,
I've often printed off threads for future reference, but unlike the old system, when you press the print preview button at the top left of the thread it only shows the text without the piccies the thread contains, which, of course, are often central to the article. How do I get the pictures as well - or am I missing something?
Regards, MikeN.

Re: Printing off threads and photos
possibly just press print instead of print preview??? that could work
Re: Printing off threads and photos
If you go to File->Print in the menu of the browser you are using, rather than pressing the print icon on the actual webpage, this will print off everything including the photos.
As I say it prints everything so it's not as organised but at least you have the photos you need.

Re: Printing off threads and photos
Thanks for the advice rossfox and Mr Coles. But just to print this thread takes 3 sheets via the browser as opposed to the print button at the top right; the latter does a good job in reduction of unnecessaries. All it needs is to include the photos as we used to have on the previous system. Is there an error?

Hi Mike,
I don't think there's an 'error' as such, it's probably just the way that the board has been set up. I'm not sure if the settings can be changed but I've flagged your question up to the webmaster to look into.
Regards,
Louise

Re: Printing off threads and photos
Dear Louise,
Thanks for that. Probably most of you save threads in some clever electronic way and not on paper. I print off those of relevance and make folders which can then be kept in the garage where they're read and directly compared with the latest problem. But as an general (and ill educated) observation, the print facility seems to me to be going to the bother of cleaning up the thread for printing but just going a bit too far by cutting the piccies in the posts. It would be a great aid to me if they could be retained.

The 'print' style is built in to the Messageboard software. That's just the way it is I'm afraid.
