Here's a handy tip, Halfords sell a 4 way lighter socket adapter (not suitable for use with cigarette lighters though). I've been a bit frustrated as having no lighter socket meant I couldn't use my hands free kit (being of the cheap and nasty variety and plugging into the said socket).
All you have to do is remove the plug and then wire it into your beloved car to give you 4 sockets. I used my battery charger to identify the +ve and -ve wires (if you get it the wrong way round the little light on the adaptor doesn't come on). The lead that it comes with is long enough that I was able to install mine under the heater box and just run the cable through the bulkhead to the fuse box.
So hooray!!! I can now plug in my hands free kit AND my CD player on my Moggy, something I couldn't do with the Rover!

So I guess all I need to do now is to get that alternator conversion.
