Panda Car on the BBC

Post by santadawes »

A Morris Panda has been seen in the BBC program The Indian Doctor.Has anybody else seen it?

The places that they filmed this program is less than 20 Miles from me.

5 minutes 25 seconds in for anyone looking for it. Can't quite read the registration number. How come it wasn't yours as your're so local? :(

Hi Simon. I wasn't contacted and didn't know anything about it. A branch member said it was a Devon Owned car but someone else said that he thought he saw a wire coming from the roof light into the car. I explained to him that it was possible the car would be leagle to drive without the light on.

I have just sent off my entry form for the national in June. See you there.
Raymond.

It looks like LJT ???J which would be a Devon car. There are only 2 original D&C roof boxes left (one on a triumph and one in the museum) so it probably is just a magnetic light. Still hoping to get our Met Panda restoration finished ready for the National and I know Michael will be there with the D&C one.

The number plate on the car's not necessarily authentic - but it would be an exceedingly thorough props department that went to the trouble of providing a plausible registration for a given fictitious vehicle...

Quiet right. But I only live down the valley from the filming. They could have done more research via the mmoc club/branch or the Police Car Clubs. I have mine regestered for film work via agents. But never mind.... Maybe someday.
