Re: Favourite Beers
The maxim brewery have just released an (and I quote), "experimental lager" at .62p per half pint bottle, thats a case of 24 for £15.00.
I did try one and thought it pretty decent at 4% proof.
Not sure if its in the shops yet, but you can buy it direct though.
I guess you would have to collect.
I must say chaps this threads proving mighty popular, who would have thought all those Minor fans would be beer afficionados.

Re: Favourite Beers
Was in Wakefield last weekend and tried Wakefield Pride (nice), Sam Smiths Bitter (also nice) and John Smiths which wasn't so nice.
The rest I can't remember so must've been good stuff.

Re: Favourite Beers
Hello JPX877J,
but it is not a beer so doesn't qualify for this thread. If you want to drink a beer of this strength try whisky.

Re: Favourite Beers
Nah - Johnny Walker BLUE - but over £150 a bottle
From wikipedia
"Blue Label: Johnnie Walker's premium 80-86 proof (40-43% ABV) blend with no age statement. Johnnie Walker Blue Label is blended to recreate the character and taste of some of the earliest whisky blends created in the 19th century. Bottles are numbered serially and sold in a silk-lined box accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. It is one of the most expensive blended Scotches on the market, with prices in the range of US$200.
