Not with those wipers! Not a '59...

Yes wrong wipers, no trafficators ( could be filled over) , wrong lights both front and rear (could have been changed), wrong heater and wrong bulkhead for a 59 as it's a fresh air heater, wrong boot stay..
Someone's told fibs down the line there.
oh and wrong speedo !!!

As it wears a very recent age related registration, I'd surmise that someone has used it to sell the reg off a dead '59 car and then left it with the replacement registration, possibly thinking it looks more attractive with a 6 digit reg or the appeal of MOT exemption may make it more saleable... :(
Prob not the current owner, who probably has no idea.... :-?

Looks like the red minor maybe correct as if you look there is grommets where the original wipers would of been.. looks like someones converted it too late wiper setup..

But the red one was described as '63 anyway, it's the convertible that isn't correct. A '63 early car would have been before the A number plate suffix and would have had clap hands wipers, easily converted to the later type as you describe; so that looks very plausible.

No pat plate, no visible holes either...

So in a situation like this with the white convertible being sold as a 1959 when it clearly isnt (to us anyway). What would be likely to happen ? Anything? Or will this car just now continue to be an age that it clearly isn't and "more desirable" due to MOT exemption?
Could it have been a legit reshell job years ago and have kept it's 1959 status?
is the worst case scenario that it'd get a correct age related plate and loose it's MOT exemption?
It does look a very clean and tidy car in the pictures and if it's all like that then an MOT wouldn't be problem anyway.

All goes pear shaped when serious accident occurs and insurers/inspectors get involved.
