Paint finish
Where, on the car, do I find the paint code? I got a certificate from the FHVCC which said my moggy was originally Thames Blue. The problem is, under the rear seat, it looks more green than blue; or does Thames Blue look greenish? I need to find out soon so I can spray her in her original colour.

Re: Paint finish
Never heard of Thames Blue...could it be Teal Blue? That can look a bit greenish in certain lights.

Re: Paint finish
I wouldn't worry about the green. I've been wondering why my interior has green on the pillars under the rear side windows where the smoke grey paint has chipped l. although mine is still original paint I wondered if it was just some sort of stronger paint or they just had loads of almond green left and needed to use it up

Thames blue is a bit greenish - a light colour. Is your car a series MM? I think Thames blue was only used in the early 50s
Re: Paint finish
My Mary is a 1951 mm and Thames Blue and Mist Green were the colours of the day. I would like to know where on the car can I find the paint code to be sure what colour she should be.
Re: Paint finish
I don't think it is anywhere 'on the car'. You need to look behind panels/under the dash to find paint that has never been disturbed - then compare with swatches.

Re: Paint finish
Thames Blue = ICI Paintcode 2382 Take this number to a car paint specialist and they should be able to mix the correct paint for you.
