ok this is probably been discussed before but I can't find it.

Anyone repaired the bottom of the B pillars where they meet the top of the rear quarter panel (late 2 door).

I'm welding the rest of the standard places up , inner A posts, inner wheel arches and some small floor patches but both B pillars are loose and untill I strip the interior out for the rear floor check I can't see how to reinforce this spot?

Engine and running gear sweet though and seems that my wife well may see this unknown birthday present this year after all (4 months left)

OOI, where did you buy the panels? I've brought some really badly sized/shaped ones before now, so bad that even cut and shut vertically until the width was right, they were so badly shaped I gave up on them...

The 'B' posts have gone in the past on Doris (before I got her) and were just welded and primed till I got her, I'm going to slip a steel tube up and weld it top and bottom I think when I come to the 'B' posts.

Yep welung thats where mine's gone.

Had a go welding one side friday. Not to bad but I will probably slip a tube or something in as you say.

The rest of that panel is solid (About the only bleedin' one that is)

You should look through the pics on my website if you think yours is bad I think it was the carpet holding the floor in Doris

Grovel, grovel,I apologise for saying mine was rusty. I can at least knit the rust together and wait another year or two for the new floor. Was that special load bearing MOT carpet or will any carpet do.

I found Someone in the past had foam filled one of the rear spring hangers so their underseal could sit on something but me and my friendly plasma cutter are going to have cough and splutter through that bit.

Aha, a modern variation on the baked bean tin pop rivetted on and covered in underseal...

I'd have been happier with a baked bean tin.

It was super strength original morris carpet, originally blue but now with a lovely orange tinge to it
