Desperate request for help. Bodywork experience required

Hi all.
The clubs lowlight project is running terrifyingly behind schedule due to a significant amount more body prep than expected being required and a distinct lack of hands on help at the practical classics workshop near Peterborough.

Help is desperately required to get the car in paint before the NEC show in November, which will be a superb advert for what the club can do - but only if it gets there.

If you an help on any week day at all, I can arrange for the workshop to be open even if I'm needed in the office.

Please contact matt.tomkins@practicalclassics.co.uk asap with your availability

Most suppliers do those MGB type straps..... the Brass Morris ones are more tricky to find...

Here is one supplier of the MGB type....

I really think, at this stage, the club should pay a body shop to carry out body repairs and spraying.

apologies for slow response, i posted the initial post while travelling back from a feature in switzerland and then went home for the weekend and neglected to log on to the forum.
After another long day today, one door is getting there, the boot is close and the firat of the wings is recieving its final flat. Hopefully this week will see much more progress.
If anyone is able to come along, any experience level would be much appreciate. everything from prepping and clening components to rubbing down, filler work, fitting the wiring loom and brake lines etc etc.

i am also opening up the workshop this weekend both days - saturday from 10am and sunday from 11 by popular request so please do come along if you can to help move the project forward.

Please email matt.tomkins@practicalclassics.co.uk for address and more details

Many thanks

I THINK NOT
Alexander, you are actually seriously underestimating the cost. Delivery to Ailsa Craig, which I understand is classified as Scottish Islands, is shown in their Deliveries section as costing £27.50 + VAT. So your total will be £36.79, a mere £18.40 per strap.

Unfortunately they don't allow collection from their premises in the Midlands.

:-?

Small Ebay sheet of brass, tin snips and a Dremel sorted mine out.
