I was just wondering if anyone knows what type of keys were used for the Tudor fuel locking caps as the one on the car did not come with a key. The lock has the number 459 on the key barrel but nothing else.

Thank you for that. I have looked at it but it does not show what code the key is and the lock I have is made for a key that has teeth cut on both sides and not just the one.

Try a locksmith, they might have the correct blank for your cap

Sorry for the delay in replying, but I have had not access to the internet for a few days. Thank you for your suggestion it looks like that may be my only option.

Mike is right, I have 2 different tudor locking caps and they have different makes of keys, eg. Silka and CBS but these are only suppliers of keys. Auto jumble may be the best bet if the locksmith can't help, guy with a big bunch of keys and ask to try them.

Thank for the enlightenment that there is not one key type used. As you say if all else fails it will be a case of trying as many keys as possible, I did find an FT key that was a good fit but it was just short of turning the lock.
