Need to borrow a rear hub nut spanner?

Hi clubbies
I have recently overhauled my Moggie 1000's rear hubs and I bought the proper spanner to do it with. A wise decision, those nuts were on TIGHT !
If you are in urgent need of doing the same - and are within a sensible travelling distance of Marlborough, Wiltshire - the spanner is now sitting on the shelf twiddling its thumbs, waiting for your job.
For the avoidance of disappointment: the A/F is 47.9mm.

Just for my information in case I have to do the job sometime - is it a spanner or a socket of this size that is needed? I vagely remember in this forum someone fabricated a special tool but perhaps I am confusing with something else.

A spanner is to be prefered. The nut is very slim, so a spanner, keeping the force applied in line with the nut is the easier option.

Personally I would not even bother making a hub nut spanner as they can be purchased ready made for little money.

ive got a 47mm socket which ive used for years. think I paid £5 for it.
