Munro air shocks

I just bought an escort axle for my truck, its come off an old custom morris saloon thats been knocking about for years. Owner is going back to a stock axle, probably to keep above the dvla's 8 point rule.
It has a pair of Munro air shocks with it old but look unused, A quick measure up & it looks like they are the right length for the truck & will fit. The truck has standard 8cwt springs & will get used for carrying heavy stuff as it always has,
Any advantage to fitting these shocks onto it?
