Re: CNG328k van project
It does take some effort to do but you can get street view pictures taken off the google site. It was my children who informed me that a car I was building at the time was in full view to everyone, as I had left the garage door open when the survey vehicle was passing. I contacted the website to confirm that my car insurance provider was not happy with the situation and may not pay out if the car was stolen as a direct result of the google image in which case I would be coming after google for the loss. I had a total of four photos taken down.
Busy collecting parts for my '52 MM Convertible and 1949 Saloon restorations. :o

Re: CNG328k van project
Street view pictures yes; but not overhead picture as far as I know.
It is not possible to look directly at my house on google maps because I asked them to remove it. You can just about identify my modern car from what you can see down the street and on either side of the house.
However, there is another street on a T junction directly opposite my house, and if you move the pointer to this street, you can clearly see my morris minor parked on the drive. This image was taken years before the street scene that my house was removed from; when my minor was my only car. Bizarre.

For those with security in mind we should be careful about what is posted too in the photos.geoberni wrote: ↑Sat Aug 14, 2021 12:44 pm OK, so apologies for the huge Tangent I've got people on, by mentioning Camouflage from prying eyes...

There’s enough info in the above pics for me to spend about 10 mins on Bing Maps and take an educated guess that the address is 36 S******d Road, Great Yarmouth…

I don’t think the gearbox was painted.
