At the moment I'm filling in the holes in the bulkhead that aren't needed - Can anyone tell me what the ones in the picture outlined are for?, they're below the 1/4" holes for the accelerator pedal cover/guard that fits on the inside.
Cheers

I’ve got a feeling they are for the push rivets that hold the soundproofing sheet in place ? Maybe you’re missing the soundproofing.

They could be Les but I think they are for the smaller rivets which secure the parcel shelf?
Is the parcel shelf missing by any chance?

I found a whole host of holes all round the engine bay. No idea what any of then are for so I just put rubber grommets in each of them.

There were some larger holes that took fixings for the thin sound proofing and smaller ones to secure the parcel shelf.

Lovely engine bay :D

Thanks - I think you're right - they're for the parcel shelf. Cheers

Not the first time I've seen a SII Engine Bay where the connections to the Starter Pull cross over like that. :-?
Goes against my reasoning to cross cables over when installing, you'd think cables would connect to the nearest point, not the furthest.
My SII's battery was connected to the nearest connection when I got it, and has remained so.

But back on topic, I agree they should be parcel shelf fixing holes. My Parcel shelf has been welded in at some past restoration, but there are 2 holes in the shelf just where you indicate.
On the same restoration presumably, the welder went 'weld happy' and seemed to fill in lots of holes that were originally in the bulkhead. I've got no holes for sound proofing fixing etc.

Correct heater pipe route and no steady bar for a pre Dec 54 series 2

Shouldn't one of the heater pipes run down and across the floor to the bottom of the rad on these earlier cars? Mine does..... :-?

I agree. I don't think Stevey is correct regarding the heater pipes. The metal pipe is the one fitted to the later 1098cc cars I reckon
I agree with him that the Series 11 cars did not have an engine steady.
