Electronic egnition

After recently having starting problems I was wondering g.i have been advised I have semi electronic egnition.But as far as I am aware it is or it is not.The distributor has been changed from points so I guess its electronic.My question is if I am going to get a new cap and leads and possibly plugs should I get electronic compatible.I am guessing it would not be a problem as its just a different cap and silicone leads.However I notice the plugs are not the same as the ends appear different.I wonder if they would be OK as I say mine is not points.

What is the number on the plugs?
The plugs ex factory used to be N5 but most people now fit N9Y plugs with the protruding point as they give a better burn and run slightly hotter.
Take off the distributer cap, take a photo of the top of the distributor and post on here please. You will get a more definitive answer doing that than a qualified guestimate.

Thank you I will try to get a picture on the week.Noticed the plugs they offer with the kit have a triple point as opposed to the normal one.

As to the plugs, modern fuels burn hotter, some swear by the N9Y:

Others prefer the triple ground versions:

I prefer these but it seems to be a case of whatever works for you (I tried the others when someone persuaded me they were better but they didn't last very long, so have reverted back to the triples....).
