Morris Minor Owners Club

Ideally, you'd want a garage for your car, but that's not possible for all of us.

There are lots of outdoor car covers on the market, and I just thought it worth noting that any 'tailored' car cover that's designed for a classic VW Beetle will also fit a Morris Minor (saloon or convertible) like a glove. I've just bought one of these, having used similar for years for my VW Splitscreen. It's good quality, reasonably priced, and fits perfectly:

I just bought one from Halfords for £69 and does the job fine.

I used to use Halfords car covers (not for the Morris) and would get a couple of years out of them. The last one I had, about 5 years ago was 'different' to previous covers.
Anyway, within a short space of time it had buggered up the paint on the boot lid on my mk3 Cavalier. A blooming effect which looked like it had been caused by trapped water/moisture.
Contacted Halfords who made no quibble at all about having the boot lid refinished. Got a quote from a local place that I have used before and they paid up.
As it happened the effect disappeared after a couple of months and now you would never know it happened?
Would I use another Halfords cover, no! (beware!)
Had good results with stormforce covers.

I use one from Specialised Covers in Shipley, the Traveller lives under a car port and the cover goes on as well during the winter months.
I have had no adverse effects from using it and the seem to be very well made and it fits the car properly so it is not blowing around in the wind.
