Could anyone help please, I have a new parcel shelf (as part of Newton kit) my car did not have one fitted! I have seen several posts on the subject but I’m after a bit more information, there is just one cutaway for the throttle I think? Do you have to cut a slot for the column or does it fit above?
Also seems to be a lot of discussion on whether to bend the rear of the board up or down for fitting ( does anyone hav a definitive answer?
Finally the from edge has a metal bar I understand, this in photos looks to be covered with a rolled edge, is thiss made up?
Any information & photos would be very helpful please?

Re: MM Parcel Shelf
I'm interested in the bending answer.
The bar is padded, a kit is available.
I used 15mm pipe lagging and some vinyl I had lying around.
Fitting instructions for the crash pad are available on the Newton Commercial website.

Re: MM Parcel Shelf
Just to add, series MM and series 2 weren't padded, they are just a right angled length of steel which lines up with your shins!... The steering column goes under the parcel shelf.

Well, there were various shelves over the years, but I would say the front lip is bent down, well it was on my SII when I came to replace it - see this thread for some clues: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=65935
