The Minor had a purely mechanical clutch linkage, so the slave cylinder is not a Minor part. Different cylinders can be used. Hopefully someone will recognise the part number and tell you what your one is from.

I think this photo has been shown before, I remember seeing two different bolts securing it, I wonder what the thinking was behind doing that. Perhaps the cylinder is from a Mini.

The clutch slave cylinder is not Morris but is BMC.
The clutch slave cylinder is a 948c/1098cc MG Midget/Sprite item Pt No: GSY110 (MOSS).

This type of slave cylinder was fitted to the 948cc, 1098cc & 1275cc MG Midget/Sprite and all variants of FWD BMC/BL vehicles.
The classic Mini (pre Verto) and the MG Midget/Sprite are virtually the same and either can be used for a 1275cc Midget application though the correct slave cylinder for a 1275cc clutch is Pt No GSY113 (MOSS).
I would replace the cylinder complete and not bother trying to repair.
These are the two bolts that should be used for securing the clutch slave cylinder

Thanks very much.I will order one.Can I finally ask please.Does the rod secure onside the piston as it has it is like a very long screw. Also when I had the clutch working the rod was movable side to side as if not tight in the piston. But when screwed up it was tight and not moveable. Also why the new bolts please as I will order if you think so.

The rod just sits inside the cup of the slave cylinder piston. It is not attached to the piston in any way.
The correct clearance allows the rod to move sideways.
This is the rod that should be fitted:-

You have one or more incorrect bolts holding the slave cylinder to the bell housing. For completeness and correctness I would replace the bolts with the right items. Also how do you know if the bolts are the correct length?
Below is the clutch hydraulic slave cylinder fitted to my Minor.
I have made the release rod adjustable in length.

It’s possible that the odd bolts are a consequence of a striped thread in the housing, necessitating an oversize bolt when re threaded.
However I think I’d have to make both threads the same, at least get the heads the same type. I couldn’t look at that mismatch every-time I lifted the bonnet but then that’s just me ! :D
