Replacement Demister hose (late heater)

This has been discussed before and I have read the old threads but what I have read does not answer my question.

Some time ago I completely refurbished my late, rectangular Smiths heater. This heater has "ears" on either side and two warm air hoses on either side. One hose goes up to the screen demister vents and the other hose goes down to the footwell.

My warm air pipes (demister pipes or whatever we want call them) are not in good condition. The originals are a galvanised wire spiral with a plastic outer cover and have a very small wall thickness. The wire reinforcement rusts and then the pipe collapses. Where the pipes attach to the side of the heater is a VERY tight space (one hose attaches to the heater, the other to the "ear" and then when the ear is installed the pipes are right next to each other). I tried some 1 1/4" internal diameter corrugated plastic pipe from Holden but although it fits the outlets perfectly, the wall thickness is too big and the pipes will not fit right next to each other at the heater end.

The original hose is not available anywhere as far as I can see. Second hand pipe can be found but is invariably in poor condition and not worth having.

Has anybody found a source of hose that actually fits the late type heater with both hoses attached per side?

I looked at the suggestions but the hose was not available in the correct diameter.

I have found this which looks identical in design to what was originally used (though probably better quality) and I think seeing as it is for a Smiths heater that it is also the correct diameter (I need to confirm with the company).

I would think so but I didn’t want to say as I don’t know for sure. I think with the old round heater you can use cheaper plastic pipe. The issue with the late heater is the wall thickness because space is very tight where the pipes join the heater and the “ears”.
