Replacement Steering Wheel with indicator Arm

Post by DJC »

Hi, can anyone tell me if a 1960 Morris steering wheel column with indicator arm, will fit my 1955 Morris Minor please?

I'm pretty sure it will if you have all the fittings. I fitted a whole Minor 1000 column to my Series 11 some years ago :)

According to the Workshop Manual, the actual Morris one, not the Haynes, .... Section JJ for the 1000 model, it needs to be the complete assembly.

Thanks for the comments, when you say complete assembly, do you mean the steering box as well?

Thanks

Just the Column Assy.
If you don't have the Morris Manual, AKD530, do a web search and you'll find it downloadable in pdf format from several places.

Well done for having a go. You give me confidence that maybe I will try to do up the bodywork on my car. I am pretty good with a rattle can painting small parts but I have never attempted body panels with a compressor.
