Van body to pick up tub conversion

I've a pick up under rebuild but it came with a flat bed. I've been offered by someone to sell me some van sides with the suggestion of cutting them down to make a tub like the original. Is this feasible? Is it straightforward or is a difficult and time consuming thing to do? I don't want to convert it to a van btw. Thanks.

Hi,
The pick up sides have a wrap over top edge and a swage line. Cutting down the van side is possible but you would need to fabricate a top edge and swage line, which is a very complicated shape with swage lines. If you look on the ESM site they sell pick up sides but do mention the top edge.

Ah yes that's complicated! Best I can think is to top the edge with some wood trim which wouldn't be brilliant with my woodworking skills!!
