Thermostat

Post by Stig »

Anyone running with a 92 degree thermostat? I've an 88 degree one and was after a better heater for the winter, just wondering if there's any downside to going hotter.

It's not going to make a huge difference - 88 should be plenty - but go for the 92 is you wish!

Hello Stig,

it depends on how good your radiator is, if it's working well, in the winter your water temperature may hardly open a 92 degree thermostat? That figure is the start to open temperature and fully open may be ten degrees higher?
In the dim and distant past, radiator blinds were common for winter use on old cars (They were new then :-))
