MK 1/2 Midget Brake/Clutch Master Cylinder into Minor

Has anyone successfully fitted the joint clutch/brake master cylinder from a Mk1/2 Midget Sprite in the Minor? As far as I can tell it fits in the same location as the original part but may sit slightly proud of the floor. I have disc brakes on the front of the car and am changing the engine for 1275 Midget engine and box. Hydraulic assist is recommended to make the motion smooth but can find no views in Minor Matters (going back to 1985!)or elsewhere about how good this modification is? Any views out there?

You do not need a hydraulic clutch linkage on the 1275 diaphram clutch in the Minor. It is much easier to carry out a simple modification to the relay shaft to maintain the clutch pedal weight and movement

Weld an extra piece on the end of the relay shaft lever which connects to the pedal side of the linkage and re drill the hole 1 inch further out. I would also recommend using a ball race release bearing as the carbon thrust bearings wear rapidly with the extra load of the diaphram clutch.
