Removal of top cant rail

Post by bagpuss1947 »

Hi,have just bought a Morris Traveller [1969] needing a bit of work,I need to replace the upper cant rail on the lh side .
I have removed the sliding windows, channels, headlining, roof gutter and inner wood cappings but cannot see how to remove the aforementioned rail.
Is it glued or nailed to the inner rail ?
Any help gratefully recieved
P.S. The Morris Minor Restoration manual is no help and the Haynes Manual is next to useless on this matter. :

Welcome to the forum! Indeed Haynes is useless. I assume you mean item 33 - in which case it is one piece - not attached to an 'inner rail' and will have to be detached from the two ends to remove it.
