How did it go?

Post by RogerRust »

I spent a leisurely day with my family first with the new grandchild for Christmas lunch, then snuggled up in front of the log burner with our daughter till midnight.

A classic Christmas Day.

Neither daughters or turkeys eaten in our house, we had Quorn Wellington... our meat eating in laws ate every bit!

Why is that most "meat eaters" are considerate to " veggies " and respectfully accomodate their dietary requests....yet the " favour " is never returned ?

( For the record, I don't dislike veggie food/ quorn options, etc and I have a daughter-in law and two grandchildren that are veggies. )

Probably because preparing veggie food does not turn the stomach of meat eaters.

I know of a few veggies who can't stand to touch raw meat. That's probably got something to do with it.

I'll try pretty much anything except eyes & brain.

And nothing that's been walking/flying/swimming (or has come out of a bird!) for me! And yes - I refuse to touch the packs of 'dead things' at supermarket - the meat-eater has to pack them herself.

Agreed Cam as meat eaters like myself dont mind what's cooking but vegetarians come in different groups as to what is acceptable and as for the Fruitarian in the film Notting Hill I think that was just a wind up as I have never heard of another.
