B & Q Paint
Ever since I bought my car it has always bothered me that the previous owner had painted all the surfaces under all the wing areas black instead of being coloured matched Empire Green as the car,I thought about getting a litre of cellulose paint made up at my local paint shop but thought that after a very short time with the lid off during my brushing it on it would quickly thicken up too much. So I took a colour sample to B & Q and they said they would scan it and mix up a litre of Dulux gloss ( other brands are available) this they did and for £20 I tried it on the car underwings this weekend, it was a very good match and after 2 coats looked really good with enough easily to do all 4 wings with plenty left over .I would imagine other colours could also be matched

I've done that on the outside. Used B&Q premier paint first but it lost it's gloss pretty quick. Took a sample in for Dulux colour match with the option of 'extra gloss' and it's stayed nice and shiny.

Done the same at Andover Homebase where their young lady got out a scanner and waved it at a sample of my Traveller's sky blue and mixed up some Dulux to match. Used it to cover my Erde trailer but found since it's a good enough match to touch up blemishes on the car itself.
Hang on to the paint code they give you for any further pots you need, MikeN.

Re: B & Q Paint
B & Q no longer mix Dulux, they only supply it in ready mixed tins. However the Dulux showroom is just up the road so you can get it mixed there.

Re: B & Q Paint
But B&Q do now do colour match with Valspar paints - I am in the fortunate position of having a wife who works for them and I've just asked her
