Radiator Stencil

Post by Vicky »

Hi

My dad wants the stencil that you use on top of the radiator - you know, the one that warns you about opening the cap while its still hot. We've seen them on a few moggies, but can't seem to find them anymore. Anyone know where we could buy one? Or better yet, have you got one I could buy off you?

Thanks

Victoria

Radiator stencil

Post by Declan_Burns »

Bull Motif sell them. http://www.morrisminorspares.net/shop_item.php?ID=4372

Part no. DEC114 and listed as a sticker. That's probably why people don't find it. I did this recently-You also need some white spray paint as the lettering is sprayed on.

Interesting that they call it a template sticker.

oh i see. Pretty expensive for just one sticker thou.

After use, can it be removed i.e the way you remove stamps and be reused?

I seem to remember reading that the paint was applied by a stippling brush rather than spray...

Thanks for the part number. It's now on order. Bit expensive for a stencil, but father has really wanted one for his lovely traveller, and I couldn't find them anywhere for ages. I noticed they put a 'new' next to the catalogue number, so they couldn't have been selling them long.
