Well Rich has done some brilliant work and has sent me over 200 pictures, after 3 frustrating hours of ie locking after selecting a few pictures then re starting then re uploading, I give up and post a few that slipped through.

The rear of the cab was really badly dented, but managed to sort most of it, cut the rusty bottom off & welded a new piece in.
The drivers door handle was pretty bad, so was going to repair it, but when I stripped it all down, I discovered it was cracked. The NOS one arrived after Parcel Force found the package, there is a few scratches on it after being in stock for 50 odd years, but now it's fitted it & looks great!
The heater is all stripped & I'm in the middle of painting it. Exhaust is all fitted, but I don't seem to have any photos, so will get some on Monday. Engine is all running, will be taking it to a rolling road this week hopefully.
The nearside door was worse then I thought, though it was better then the drivers side. That's all repaired & now at the painters.
The original headlight rims are pretty good although one is dented. You can't really see the dent, so I've fitted them. Thought they're probably better than the new ones you get.
Before the rear tub was painted I welded in captive nuts under the wooden bed, so it's easily removable when it gets scratched & needs re-varnishing.
Haven't got time to paint the radiator, so I gave it a t-cut & it looks ok. the blue front panel is a loan one off another car while the original (which I've welded in a new lower section is at the painters.
All being well all the panels should be back from the painters on Tuesday.
The only thing that is holding me up at the moment is a brake caliper which I've had to send back as it's faulty.

I have had the pickup back for a couple of weeks. Rich was not able to finish all the works as we had a deadline to export to avoid paying VAT on top of our own version GST.
Jobs were minor and so far have gone well,
Raise drivers side suspension 1 spline. Fit Temp Guage, fit new radiator.(My fault, I thought the old one was ok but was actually a leaky rusty thing.)
Replace a few too short bolts, replace steel self tappers with stainless nuts and bolts to cleats. Shorten springs to improve wipers.
So basically not much. Only outstanding Jobs are bleeding brakes and fitting headlining which I am not looking forward to!
Still waiting on new glove box liners , 1 door card and quarterlight mirrors.Rubber strips to door bottoms as is a bit draughty. It all adds up. Really wish Rich could have have had a few more weeks as he was really unhappy to hand over a nearly finished car and wanted me to send it back for tweaking!!

Currently trying to sort Tonneau and main cover, Comptons have done a fantastic job making the covers!!
Hoops did not fit very well, the rear one is about 40mm higher than the rest but I am not sure if this really matters.

A fantastic job, well done.
The height of the rear hoop looks " spot on " with the actual rear canvas to me from the shots.
Distortion of the hoops comes with the territory as they say, unless the vehicle has been pampered all it's live.
The front and the rear hoops seem level, looking at the level shown up by the timber joist balanced on top, with the middle
two slightly low.
From another shot the middle two hoops are bulging outwards slightly at the sides.Would the application of rope/ long luggage straps around the uprights, used as a turnique, bring the sides " in " and " raise " the centres, ever so slightly ?
A couple of pals to assist, to ensure the movement was controlled, might prove useful.
Your Restoration has been done to an exceptionally high standard and you can be justifiably proud of your efforts.

I am yet to take it for a drive, but am not sure what to do with the bits that are supposed to strap to the tailgate. The small buckles have been supplied, but I really am not keen to drill holes in the nice new steel.
I think I will see how it flaps about first.

As the rear hood " flaps about " ...the metal ends on the end of the straps will ruin the tailgate paintwork !!"I think I will see how it flaps about first "
Either put Cereal packet cardboard taped to the tailgate, whilst you decide or bite the bullet and get the drill out.
Masking tape , roughly along the line and a straight edge to mark the centre line of the clips.Centre punch the metal
and use a slow speed on the drill ,to carefully start the hole.Use touch up paint or a blob of waxoyl on the self tapper
to protect the metal.

I wonder if the rear hoop is intended to be slightly higher so the opening is less obstructed when the rear flap is rolled up?

Those little tailgate straps are normally meant to be strapped to the tailgate, if you dont fasten them down they will flap about making a fair bit of noise. Do your straps have little brass protective ends, mine do. Recently I was being lazy and didnt bother to fasten the rear flap door down properly and when for a quick drive around the block before her hibernation for the winter, the brass ends make quite a noise slapping against the tailgate.
Your tilt hoops look in great condition too, much better than mine to be honest, my most forward one is badly distorted and the tilt doesnt touch the cab on the drivers side.
For info, The most forward hoop is the hoop with the small 5mm ish hole about half way up the vertical. A strap buckle normally lives there to fasten all of the hoops together on the cab back when being stored.

I have ordered some mirrors as I was not happy with lack of visibility!
I think for now I will cable tie the straps so they cant chip the paint as I am not 100% sure about using the back cover.
I really like the bare pickup look.
