Any Series MM is rare by comparison with Minor 1000s, and tourers / convertibles are particularly rare as most were exported and not many have survived the British climate. 1951 was a transition year when the body changed from lowlight to highlight wings and later from short bonnet to long bonnet and the tourer with removable side screens became the convertible with fixed rear side windows.
Please PM me the details and chassis number of your car.

That's the chassis nos.

Too high for a body number
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!

Mine is later 1951, chassis no 122061, LHD with a first Belgium registration, long bonnet and highlight wings, so the number 90530 can be the right one for this year.
Does your car have the lowlight wings, or already the highlight wings?

And of course, pictures ;)

The chassis number of your car is down as 90503 with an owner near Leeds on the MM register, not 90530. Which is right?

A lot is changed in '51, but I have put the small covers also back on my car.

I found this information, what I understand from this, yours is original.
January 1951
RHD#83390 LHD#81595 - all Minors built with headlamps mounted in the wings with sidelamps placed where the headiamps used to be.
All wing mounted headlamps were 7" instead of former 5" units.

March 1951
A nickel shortage led to painted grille and hub caps being fitted - RHD#91076 LHD#89726.
Hub caps only were restored to chrome plated finish six months later.

April 1951
Optional water pump fitted to engine, allowing use of heater. Complete cost £RHD#83206 LDH#81502 LHD - all cars now fitted with one-piece bumpers in place of earlier split type.

June 1951 - on
RHD#100920 LHD#102836 - Tourer sidescreens of fixed type and revised hood fitted.
Door-mounted ashtray discontinued on four-door at RHD#131460 LHD#126597 and on two-door at RHD#124810 LHD#122788, replaced by fascia mounted ashtray.
RHD#139359 LHD#139514 - glove box emblem changed from chrome and enamel to plastic.
Bootlid lock strengthened.

September 1951
RHD#114923 LHD#89910 - rubber bushed top suspension link introduced to cure suspension 'clonk'. Later fitted as a modification to most cars. At same time in 1952 a secondary steering rack damper was introduced.
