Hi everyone,
I have a question concerning the purchase of a complete carpet set for my 1956 Series 2. In looking at the various suppliers, there seems to be some controversy as to how the original carpets were made I.e. 1 piece front, 1 piece rear or multiple pieces.
I'd like to know who makes the most authentic carpet set in terms of material used, colour correctness, edge binding (or not?)and the way it is put together for installation.
I was tempted to go with Newton Commercial but their website admits their carpet only looks original from 6 feet away! I would not have thought this would be acceptable in concours judging??
Thanks
Mark

Re: Series 2 carpets
certainly the front is a single piece. the original carpet - carvel or Karvel isnt replicated well in new sets.
